While the presidential election is taking center stage, there are many important local races that will directly impact PROTEC17 members and our Pacific Northwest communities. As public sector employees, lawmakers in our cities, counties, and states make decisions on a daily basis that impact our work, our livelihoods, and our union.
PROTEC17 members and staff have spent considerable time and energy this election season interviewing candidates and deciding who aligns with our values and who will support workers and their families, especially as employers are considering budget cuts and layoffs in light of the COVID-19 crisis.

As a reminder, contributions that PROTEC17 makes to candidates always come from our Political Action Committee (PAC), which is funded by voluntary contributions from members — never from union dues.
