The International Labor Communications Association (ILCA) announced the winners of their 2020 Labor Media Awards on Dec. 17, and we are proud to announce that PROTEC17 won four awards this year!

Labor unions from across the United States and Canada enter the yearly contest that selects the best labor writing and digital communications. Contest entries are for work created the previous year — 2019, in this case.

PROTEC17’s 2020 awards were given for our website, Insight magazine, and two pieces written by PROTEC17 Communications Director Deidre Girard. They are:

Bea’s Law: Seattle member honors memory of daughter by pushing for new policy to improve City’s bereavement leave
