DESCRIPTION:If you are in the Pierce County area\, start your Labor Day at the annual gravesite remembrance of Ralph Chaplin and his historic contributions to the Labor movement in the early part of the 20th century. The short memorial service will be held on Mon.\, Sept. 7 from 10:30-11:00 a.m. at his gravesite in Calvary Cemetery\, in Tacoma. You are welcome to bring mementos to share from significant contract campaigns\, union solidarity buttons\, flowers\, and any other memorabilia demonstrating the commitment of today’s labor movement to continuing Chaplin’s fight for a just world.
