This year\, for the first time\, City of Seattle employees will get a paid holiday to celebrate the occasion. \nA joint group of City and County employees are planning a free event to honor Juneteenth on Monday\, June 20\, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Seward Park. The event\, open to employees and their families\, will focus on unity and fellowship and feature food\, music\, art\, and more! It will provide an opportunity to connect and celebrate. \nA special thanks goes out to the team of collaborators planning this event\, including RSJ Change Teams\, Affinity Groups\, and the King County Office of Equity and Social Justice in partnership with King County’s Black leaders.
