DESCRIPTION:Join the Training for Change team in their series of resourceful online trainings. \nOnline meetings and trainings can be creative\, engaging\, and dynamic\, especially when participants dare to stretch outside their comfort zones\, make themselves seen and heard\, and participate boldly. Tools for building energized and expressive spaces online can make meetings and trainings more effective\, inclusive and impactful. \nAs facilitators and trainers\, we have many options while designing the agenda and facilitating in the moment to maximize participation and create the spaciousness for exploration and connection. In this advanced online training\, we explore how core concepts of experiential facilitation such as container building and the integration-differentiation principle can be applied online. \nIt is recommended\, but not required\, to attend the Intro to Facilitating Online Meetings training or Intro to Training Online before taking this training. \n  \nThis workshop will take place ONLINE as has two offerings. One on Mon.\, Aug. 29 from 7 – 9 p.m. ET or 4 – 6 p.m. PST. DESCRIPTION:We have a huge picnic site reserved at Mt. Tabor Park in SE Portland for July 21!  \nJoin us at 5 p.m. for some good eats\, to visit safely outdoors\, and celebrate our new contract. \nPlease RSVP HERE so we can ensure there is enough pizza and ice cream. We’re also looking for a few volunteers to bring games or help with set-up/clean-up. \nMt. Tabor Park is quite large. We’ll be at Picnic Area B – see the orange star on the map below. This is not near the main parking area\, but you can park on 71st and use the stairs near the tennis courts. Bus #15 stops near the park entrance at 69th & Yamhill.

DESCRIPTION:You are invited to a celebration of Juneteenth for King County and City of Seattle employees!  \nJuneteenth\, which falls each year on June 19\, commemorates the end to slavery in the United States. It’s considered the oldest African American holiday. On June 17\, 2021\, it officially became a federal holiday. This year\, for the first time\, City of Seattle employees will get a paid holiday to celebrate the occasion. \nA joint group of City and County employees are planning a free event to honor Juneteenth on Monday\, June 20\, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Seward Park. The event\, open to employees and their families\, will focus on unity and fellowship and feature food\, music\, art\, and more! It will provide an opportunity to connect and celebrate. \nA special thanks goes out to the team of collaborators planning this event\, including RSJ Change Teams\, Affinity Groups\, and the King County Office of Equity and Social Justice in partnership with King County’s Black leaders.
