DESCRIPTION:This event is sponsored by:  Kitsap Central Labor Council\, Olympic Central Labor Council\, WFSE 1181\, UFCW 3000\, OPEIU 8 and the WA State Labor Council\, AFL-CIO\n\nHow do we talk to members and coworkers who think differently than us (politics\, racial and gender justice\, membership\, etc…)? Would you like to be a better leader in your workplace and a voice for change? These are such big issues – what can we actually do about it? \n\nThis participatory workshop is designed to give you practical tools for building union solidarity within your workplace. This 2 hour session will help you to engage in effective conversations to build unity and solidarity among those you work with. Learn more at wslc.org/race-and-labor.\n\nCourageous Conversations on Race and the Labor Movement will be held Thursday May 19\, 2022 from 5:45pm to 7:45pm\, Interpretation and closed captioning are available upon request.\n\nThis will be a Hybrid Workshop with opportunities to participate in person or virtually. Food will be provided at the in person gatherings in Port Angeles and Silverdale. To participate virtually you will need a computer\, tablet\, or smartphone with internet access.
