DESCRIPTION:Sep 15 – Oct 15 \n\n\n\n\nIt is undeniable that the Latine/x community has played a major role in the success of the Labor Movement — famous labor leaders like Dolores Huerta\, César Chávez\, Emma Tenayuca\, Santiago Iglesias Pantin\, and Luisa Moreno\, to name a few — and the progress that has been made would not be possible without their dedicated organizing and leadership.\n\nThis Latine/x Heritage Month\, join PROTEC17 in honoring and celebrating Latine/x history and supporting the continuous present-day Latine/x community that continues to play a big part of the Labor Movement as we know it now—including Latine/x PROTEC17 members who continue to add so much to our union! \n\nTogether we are stronger. ✊\n\n\n\n\n  \nLatine/x Organizations/Programs and Events \nHere are a few amazing Latine/x organizations and programs that serve as resources and/or ways of supporting Latine/x workers and culture in our communities! \n  \nWashington State Labor Council (WSLC) –\nImmigrant and Worker Justice Toolkit \nPROTEC17 is one of many committed labor unions with the Washington State Labor Council (WSLC). The WSLC provides a variety resources\, including this resource toolkit for immigrant and worker justice. \nThis toolkit provides documented and undocumented workers\, worker advocates\, and union leaders with the resources and support they need to create a just and fair future for immigrants in the U.S. \nMore info HERE. \n  \n  \nWashington State Labor Council (WSLC) –\nNaturalization Legal Services \nThe WLSC provides reduced-cost/pro-bono legal services at Nuestra Casa in Sunnyside\, WA. \nMore info HERE. \n  \nUnited Farm Workers (UFW) Union \nSupport our union siblings at the United Farm Workers (UFW) union and get involved with responding to their calls to action and/or donating to support their work. \nMore info HERE. \n  \nCasa Latina – Day Worker Center \nBecome a member or hire a worker through the Casa Latina Day Worker Center. Through this program\, Casa Latina members receive training on job skills\, health and safety\, and worker rights. These members take the lead in determining program rules\, procedures\, and wages. DESCRIPTION:This Indigenous Peoples Day 2022\, we uplift all PROTEC17 members and community members with Indigenous identity — not just on Indigenous Peoples’ Day\, but every day.
