DESCRIPTION:Sep 15 – Oct 15 \n\n\n\n\nIt is undeniable that the Latine/x community has played a major role in the success of the Labor Movement — famous labor leaders like Dolores Huerta\, César Chávez\, Emma Tenayuca\, Santiago Iglesias Pantin\, and Luisa Moreno\, to name a few — and the progress that has been made would not be possible without their dedicated organizing and leadership.\n\nThis Latine/x Heritage Month\, join PROTEC17 in honoring and celebrating Latine/x history and supporting the continuous present-day Latine/x community that continues to play a big part of the Labor Movement as we know it now—including Latine/x PROTEC17 members who continue to add so much to our union! \n\nTogether we are stronger. ✊\n\n\n\n\n  \nLatine/x Organizations/Programs and Events \nHere are a few amazing Latine/x organizations and programs that serve as resources and/or ways of supporting Latine/x workers and culture in our communities! \n  \nWashington State Labor Council (WSLC) –\nImmigrant and Worker Justice Toolkit \nPROTEC17 is one of many committed labor unions with the Washington State Labor Council (WSLC). Through this program\, Casa Latina members receive training on job skills\, health and safety\, and worker rights. These members take the lead in determining program rules\, procedures\, and wages.
